Nucleic Resources Spacer 18 phosphoramidite may be used to directly add an 18 atom spacer internally or to the 5' end of an oligonucleotide. If 5’-end labeled, the DMT protecting group is retained in the 5' Spacer 18 modified oligonucleotide after standard ammonium hydroxide cleavage and deprotection. When used with the trityl-ON protocol, this allows simplified purification of the oligonucleotide by either RP cartridge or by RP HPLC.
